Registering ABNs and Individuals with Australian Customs
All businesses, organisations and individuals are required to be registered with Australian Customs the first time they import or export. Typically you will only find that a company is not registered with Customs when you receive an error from Australian Customs for your Consignment or Consolidation message.
View the Status of your Registrations
Log into ExportNet
Click on the ABN / CCID menu item along the screen
Click on Lookup
- All registrations will be show with a status of
SAVED - The message has been saved but not yet sent.
CLEAR - The request was successful and the associated CCID or ABN is now ready for use.
SENT - Your message has been sent to Customs, but a response is yet to be received.
ERROR - Your request was rejected by Customs. Additional information about the reason for the rejection can be found by opening the client registration form.
